WHEN IS HURRICANE SEASON?

Hurricane season in the Atlantic starts June 1 and goes through November 30.  The storm frequency typically reaches the highest peak in early September, with a second, smaller peak in October.  Those who live in or near the Atlantic basin should know when hurricane season is.  Those traveling to areas where storms may be likely should exercise caution during the season, and make sure they stay tuned in to weather reports regularly.
